Retested, it is working, needed to do a full reconfiguration after installing
smeserver-dansguardian-panel even tho it did not ask for it. My bad.
Here is latest testing and results:
- Remove all old dans packages:
[root@gateway1 ~]# rpm -e dungog-dansguardian
[root@gateway1 ~]# signal-event network-create
[root@gateway1 ~]# rpm -e smeserver-dansguardian dansguardian
[root@gateway1 ~]# signal-event network-create
- Install new package downloaded from smedev repo:
[root@gateway1 files]# yum localinstall enablerepo=smecontribs install
smeserver-dansguardian-panel-2.11-3.noarch.rpm
Installed:
smeserver-dansguardian-panel.noarch 0:2.11-3
Dependency Installed:
dansguardian.i386 0:2.10.1.1-1.el5.sme
smeserver-dansguardian.noarch 0:2.9-10.el5.sme
Complete!
- Check blacklist:
Package dungog-blacklists-1.0-20090101.noarch already installed and latest
version
[root@gateway1 files]# signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot
- Update blacklist:
[root@gateway1 ~]# /usr/bin/rsync-sgbl
#Check changelogs:

- Internet access OK
- Set some blacklist, enable virus check, prevent *.exe download:
- Virus detection tested with eicar = blocked
- Exe files blocked = ok
- Porn blocked =ok
Fully functional, can be released.
Thanks JP, you may wish to also release dungog-blacklists-1.0-20090101.noarch
or similar item. I use it and have put a cronjob to refresh twice a day.
