Bug ID: 7796
Summary: smeserver-mailsorting directory names and sorting
Classification: Contribs
Product: SME Contribs
Version: 8.0
Hardware: ---
OS: ---
Status: CONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: smeserver-mailsorting
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
QA Contact: [email protected]
Couple of things and I am not sure if they are separate or tied together - they
may want splitting.
In .procmailrc under Defaults :
DEFAULT=$HOME/Maildir/
FORMAIL=/usr/bin/formail
MAILDIR=$HOME/Maildir/
I am not sure if the trailing / are needed are needed for DEFAULT and MAILDIR ?
In the log you can see the following for matched rules :
Folder: /home/e-smith/files/users/jcrisp/Maildir//.SME BugTeam
I presume it should actually say :
Folder: /home/e-smith/files/users/jcrisp/Maildir/.SME BugTeam
Next is the fact that any mails not matched get dropped into :
/home/e-smith/files/users/user/Maildir
and not
/home/e-smith/files/users/user/Maildir/cur
I wondered why i seemed to be missing mails.
I seem to also have had problems sorting to mail folders with a space in the
name.
It writes the .procmailrc like this which I believe is correct :
$MAILDIR/.SME\ Updates/
However it doesn't want to seem to move them correctly.
I will try and have a play with the above and see what I can find out.
