I think it will be great if arpwatch has an option to send email for unused
macs after a period of time
let's say - option to put in config one parameter unused_days=90 (at least for
whole server) and after this period to send an mail with - unused mac / IP
for example you (as admin) set in static dhcp (hosts) one new device
(smartphone, computer,...) - which work for a while in network
after a while this device leave the network (for good - smartphone bricked)
but you (as admin) don't know this adn keep the IP/mac in hosts
