On a fully updated sme8.1 server
I upgraded to smeserver-affa-2.0.0-rc6.el5.sme.noarch.rpm
&
rsync-3.1.0-1.el5.rfx
& ran before & after test backups.
The backup appears to run correctly, the email report shows more details & cron
daemon does not generate the warning error email (as it did in Comment 7)
So the revised smeserver-affa rpm seems to be working correctly & is compatible
with the latest rsync version.
Thanks to those who implemented the changes.
Here is a snippet of the emailed report showing before & after (upgrade) backup
report entries correctly displayed:
