could you try to move the file hwinfo.pm to a new location and see if it works
mkdir -p /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/esmith/FormMagick/Panel/
cp /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/esmith/FormMagick/Panel/hwinfo.pm
/usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/esmith/FormMagick/Panel/
below the difference of perl path file
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/esmith/FormMagick/Panel/ sme8
/usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/esmith/FormMagick/Panel/ sme9
set to confirmed
