--- Comment #7 from Dan Brown <[email protected]> ---
If the problem is an inappropriate Obsoletes: dependency in smeserver-support,
isn't that a problem with the base OS? There are a whole mess of Requires: and
Obsoletes: in smeserver-support that seem completely inappropriate for at least
two reasons:

1. SME 9 can only be installed as a clean install, not as an upgrade from 8.x
or earlier. There shouldn't be any way for SME 8/CentOS 5/EL5 packages to be
present in the first place.

2. According to the smeserver-support package description, it is "SME Server
module to display support and licensing information". If that's a correct
description, then the host of dependencies are inappropriate for this package,
and they'd be more appropriately placed in something like e-smith-base. OTOH,
if smeserver-support is the package that's supposed to manage the system-wide
dependencies, then its description should probably reflect that.

In any event, it's unclear why it's causing a conflict with libgomp. The spec
file states:

Obsoletes: libgomp <= 4.4.7-1.el5

While I have
[dan@e-smith SPECS]$ rpm -q libgomp
libgomp-4.4.7-11.el6.x86_64

installed. This was reported in bug 7481, and apparently fixed with 2.4.0-15,
but seems to be popping up again.
