in the way imap and pop are working new directory will store mails while no
mail client has not yet connect to get the mail.
it deos not mean it has not been read, just nobody connected to the box. As
soon as a mail client has connected it should move to cur regardless of the
read state.
usually you want to give a chance to user to check mail before sending them to
spam.
how the mail was moved ?
