==================================================================

            Bug ID: 9065
           Summary: Disable cron status mail for nightly automatic
                    vacation check
    Classification: Contribs
           Product: SME Contribs
           Version: 9.0
          Hardware: ---
                OS: ---
            Status: CONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: smeserver-vacation
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
        QA Contact: [email protected]

DESCRIPTION
===========

Currently, the cron script at /etc/cron.d/vacation (used for automatic enabling
and disabling of vacation messages) mails its output to admin every night.
This is probably unnecessary during normal operations, and the status mail
should be suppressed by default.

Instead, instructions should be provided on how to _enable_ this status mail
from cron for debugging purposes.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
=================

- add a 'MAILTO="" line to /etc/cron.d/vacation
- provide instructions both in /etc/cron.d/vacation and in the wiki on how to
enable the status mail

CONTRIB VERSION
===============

# rpm -qa smeserver-vacation
smeserver-vacation-1.1-9.el6.sme.noarch
