this error was not a blocker, you could have test further.
got the same error, and the isntall went fine out of that:
# config show dansguardian
dansguardian=service
status=enabled
[root@sme8x64 ~]# service dansguardian start
Starting dansguardian: [ OK ]
[root@sme8x64 ~]# service dansguardian status
Parent DansGuardian pid:3243
[root@sme8x64 ~]#
dansguardian working
[root@sme8x64 ~]# db configuration setprop squid RequireAuth pam Transparent no
[root@sme8x64 ~]# db configuration setprop dansguardian portblocking yes
[root@sme8x64 ~]# signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot
/usr/lib64/squid/pam_auth is present in squid config file.
the file /usr/lib64/squid/pam_auth exists
configured a client to proxy on 8080 of the server only test machine, and got a
login prompt
