I thing what you actually want is 

#chown spamd:spamd  /var/spool/spamd/.spamassassin/bayes_toks

but I am quite sure this is what you actually did !

you found the right workaround


so this happens too in SME8. It might be also on SME9.

maybe I should incorporate a fix in smeserver-learn to chmod files to spamd
spamd in case a file has been created.
I think this could occurs if learnasspam script has been setup before
spamassassin has the opportunity to learn by itself to create the file.
