That would have been my guess;
a regex test on the input and/or a chomp will remove any invisible characters
around before setting it in the db, and avoid these situation.
I reopen, as this is a bug, allowing the user to enter wrong data, and you jsut
confirmed it, and find the cause.
for the confirmed as a starting status, I have also found this a while, in
some categories and with some groups it does this, will try to understand it
better and fix it.
