seen newer version of https://wiki.contribs.org/HylaFax#SME9
but after /sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/init/ttyS0.conf
you realy need to reboot otherwise faxgetty won't start
(or signal somehow init that there's a new service)
So this all section should become:
Then you need to issue:
/sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/hylafax/hyla.conf
/sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/init/ttyS0.conf
/bin/rm -f /etc/cron.daily/hylafax
signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot
