thank you for reporting,
if your /dev/null is missing or has been replace by regular file, just reboot
the server or issue : mknod /dev/null c 1 3; chmod 666 /dev/null
Regular procedure for SME is in fact to do the post-upgrade; reboot events, so
it will solve the missing dev/null, and the current fix will avoid it to
disappear again.
