Bug ID: 9730
Summary: left/right id does not allow IP addresses
Classification: Contribs
Product: SME Contribs
Version: 8.2
Hardware: ---
OS: ---
Status: CONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: smeserver-openswan
Assignee: [email protected]

Depends on: 9729
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #9729 +++
I realised that there is a situation whereby the leftid/rightid field may need
an IP address instead of a name.
Currently if the id field is set the script adds @ automatically
I think I did that to simplify things so the user did not have to think too
much.
This has the effect of turning whatever value into a plain string when it may
be required to have a resolvable IP address or domain name.
I can either remove the automatically added @ or I need a key to determine if
the field is a name or a resolvable address
I think removing the automatic @ and updating the docs will be best
