Hello,
I think that it's not a bug or a problem of Affa but just a "normal reaction":
the job switches the machine off  and therefore never get the prompt back (as
usual for a "normal" command) that gives the signal that the command is done
(it is like: you can't leave your office and have written on your desk before
"I have left the office").
I would propose you to solve it in 2 steps as I have done for BackupPC of my
Fedora:

you should understand the language...)
- the Postjob of Affa only set a flag
- a independent cron task looks every 15 min. if the flag is present and
switches off in this case.
