it will not be possible to make everybody happy as based install, but still
possible to allow a few configuration possibilities with properties in the
e-smith config db, so the few who wants configurations depending on their
domain would be able.
I think we will got to the dovecot patch to allow login with full email, and as
suggest Daniel /strip @domain.tld part for horde login, unless a property is
enabled to keep full adress as login. ( + migration script which could depend
on this property)
horde has a bug and it will not be fixed on horde 5.2 (the dev team only accept
bugs for 6.2) : it does not handle ip correctly.

however if you use the second, horde will either refuse it ( address book) or
strip the [] (email to, from, bcc and cc).
so I would suggest to indeed append the default domain and not the ip , unless
we strip it completely.
