I believe the issue with bytes/kbs was fixed in smeserver-sysmon 6.4.4
I just installed it on v9.2 and it seems to work as expected:
smeserver-sysmon-6.4-4.el6.sme.noarch
sysstat-9.0.4-33.el6.x86_64
