This is a problem for more and more web apps. We'd need to push into the core
something a bit like smeserver-php-scl but using one PHP FPM pool (instead of
php-cgi) per major version (5.3, 5.4, 7.0, 7.1) so contribs can then choose
which version to hook on. Then, once this is working, we'll be able to enhance
it further by running one PHP pool per ibay, under the ibay account. This would
provide a much better security model
