Yes, unfortunately, phpki is not maintained anymore. I've just spent countless
hours (litteraly hundreds of hours) trying to find a suitable replacement.
There's none. I'm deploying OpenXPKI for my own need right now, but it's
already a pain in the *** to get it working on EL7, I won't even try to play
for SME (and anyway, it's far too complexe for a proper contrib)
