Right you are. I try to do server config work at the command prompt so I can
keep exact records of what I did.
I didn't need to whitelist a hostname -- I only mentioned it as a sort of 'mea
culpa'.

This is/was another flavor of the same problem -
I had httpd-admin > ValidFrom set to a bare IP; adding "/255.255.255.255" in
the db eliminates the parsing error I was seeing.
Since /server-manager does not allow entry of a Remote Management address
except by IP plus netmask, you can feel free to close this bug as you see fit.
