Hello everyone, since we would like to make some progress in the great controller purge project, we need to decide what to do about liblldp.
The code is 4KLOC with no dependencies on other projects (aside from odlparent) and has not seen other than a mechanical/build change for 2+ years. At this point I think the cleanest option is to spin it off into an offset-1 (protocol) project, which is released outside of autorelease (like odlparent), with minimal maintenance done (to adopt odlparent as needed). I am happy to draw up the proposal and can drive the initial spin-out, but I cannot take on the role of the caretaker committer/PTL. Is there anyone willing to take on that responsibility?
