Stephen & Robert, Let's wrap up Bug 8741 ASAP with merging https://git.opendaylight.org/ gerrit/#/c/39484/ without that archetype self test" idea for now - OK for you? I've amended c/39484 with archetype.test.skip and that (obviously) gives us the missing +1 from jenkins-releng - so shall we merge that now, and close "blocker" bug 8741 ?
I still want to help getting the self test to work in a follow-up change - because that would be really cool, and help avoid future regressions. First step is to reliably reproduce it locally, then debug and fix... and I've think I've just made progress with the first step - this is how to repro. the problem we saw on Jenkins locally: rm -rf ~/.m2/repository/org/opendaylight/odlparent mvn -Dmaven.repo.local=/tmp/Bug8741-archetype-repo clean install This simulates what's different locally from Jenkins, and I think I've now a better idea why that fails, and maybe how to fix it... stay tuned - or jump on the thread and contribute a fix if you see it already - I think we're missing something, somewhere in SFT?
