it is and normally just works out of the box

I'm still not entirely convinced re. 32/64bit .. the message does
show native/linux32.. if you have a 64bit centos, are you really sure
you're not running on a 32bit JVM?

else it probably has something to do with that "libstdc++.so.6: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory".. perhaps you have an old
cents that doesn't have that version of libstdc++ available?
