Hello, motivated by https://jira.opendaylight.org/browse/DOCS-60, with a view to fix up the doc, I've just taken a moment to get a clearer picture about on which release the archetype works / is broken:
FYI on Oxygen, the archetype in controller in broken, and leads to Checkstyle errors when you build a project created by the archetype (and perhaps other issues later; I've not checked further). If anyone is motivated to fix that one up on the maintenance branch, please go ahead and let me know and we can fix up the doc for that branch together. FYI the currently documented command is wrong; the correct one is in DOCS-60. Personally I'll not contribute to the archetype in controller for maintenance releases. On stable/ older than Oxygen, I have not checked (and no interest). On master (Fluorine) the archetype that is now in the archetypes project should work, but is just not yet deployed. I'm expecting we'll sort that out in the coming days. I will then update the broken doc under DOCS-60, but only for master (Fluorine), with the new GAV.
