interest you in this context; it's from a company that I am not affiliated
with (and won't be able to further comment on here).

BTW: https://github.com/vorburger/opendaylight-etcd is somewhat related WIP
work in FLOSS where I'm actively exploring the use of etcd (not Cassandra)
as a data store.
