Thanks Robert. I have copied the controller-dev here.

Still trying to guage a rough estimate and ownership for what it will take to implement the constraints in yang. Could you please suggest who can else can take this up?

Well, we are really operating as an open community. While the overall ownership of a particular projects lies with its committers, individual issues are not owned per se until somebody has them assigned -- at which point that individual owns it, either until it is resolved or it is moved back to unassigned state.

That way all efforts are made on a volunteer basis -- hence I cannot really nominate anyone to take this up.

Hence there are really three options, just as with any other FOSS project:
- find a willing volunteer
- do the work yourself
- pay someone to do the work

Robert

I am not sure what you mean by 'feasible'.

If you are asking whether it is possible to deliver the functionality,
then yes, the ~5 months available are plenty of time.

If you are asking whether I will commit to delivering this
functionality, then no, I cannot make such a commitment at this time.

Just as the DDF was open, so are community discussions.

Please do use mailing lists, as otherwise your emails are at risk of
falling through, without ever having been seen.

    Regards,
    Robert
