So Penguicon 2.0 was cool. In only its second year, it got ~810 attendees,
officially making it the largest science fiction convention in Michigan.
(The next biggest has around 700.)

Maddog expressed the desire to return, and hinted about possibly shilling the
event to Linus Torvalds. Neil Gaiman asked if shilling was a tradition, and
suggested Scott McCloud (understanding comics, reinventing comics...) Neil
also expressed disappointment in his blog that Wil Wheaton wouldn't be there,
because he wanted to meet him. Considering that Neil drove, if Wil were to
come to Penguicon 3.0, it's just possible that Neil might decide to attend as
a nifty. That would be insanely cool. (Steve Jackson's already said that if
Wil comes to 3.0, Steve's coming back as a Nifty...)

On the whole, 3.0 is looking to be in good shape. 2.0 was _cool_, and I
should do a post-mortem. I should bug Eric into doing one for Linux
Journal...

I'm semi-recovered, almost... :)
