Where can I get the latest beta? Can I get a version that will run on a 386?
Will it require a math coprocessor? I have what I thought was Beta3 for
i386, but I could be wrong. It would not run on my 386 because it found no
math coprocessor. So, alas, I was forced to install it on my PIII 1GHz. ;-)
I must admit, it runs nice with no speed issues. However, I took me a LONG
time to install due to it not correctly getting DHCP info from my cable
modem. I just kept tinkering and it finally worked. I have no idea what
finally made it work, but I'm hesitant to toy with it now. ;-)
I'm having trouble with FTP websites, especially ones that are not port 21.
I have added the other ports as allowed to my restrictions, but didn't help.
If I disable the firewall nothing works at all, not even pinging or
browsing, is that right? If I go into the running services section, I forget
the actual name of the section, it lists a lot of services as unknown,
others as running or disabled I believe. Why would networking and things be
unknown if its running?
I haven't tried telnetting or sshing into the system. I have had no trouble
with the website being slow though (perhaps that's due to PIII 1GHz, 384MB
PC133 RAM, and ATA100 though).
So far, I really like what I see! It seems to be working well for me. Oh! I
can't get Unreal Tournament to work through it yet either. That of course is
high priority! ;-)
