I just installed RC2 and ran into a couple of problems that I noticed in RC1
but didn't report.
1. When installing on a system with one network card and a dial-up modem
CookFire sets eth0 as the LAN as well as the Internet interface.
2. When installing on a system with one network card and a dial-up modem you
can configure the modem during install but it doesn't save any of the modem
settings. You have to go back and configure it with the admin interface.
3. When setting up a dial-up modem it doesn't allow you to customized the
terminal based authentication. I had to use "vi" and edit
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/chat-ppp0. I had to add the lines:
'name:' 'my_login_name'
'word:' 'my_password'
4. Is it possible to include Midnight Commander in the install? It is so much
easier to use to customize the files. I know we are trying to keep the size
of the distro down and security is the primary concern but "vi" is such a
pain.
5. It looks like there is still stuff executing during startup that doesn't
need to.
Example: Setting User and Group Quotas and Building Window Manager Sessions
(Are these really necessary?)
Thanks for the update.
