Hello everyone,
Here's what you should modify if you want to use the squidGuard
blacklists.tar.gz (i'm using here the extended one from the links section -
Fabrice Pringent's web site)
1. download the archive
2. use this modified template
squidguard.conf template
copy your previous /us/share/naat/template/etc/squid/squidGuard.conf
template and use the above instead.
3. copy the blacklists.tar.gz archive in the /usr/share/squidGuard-1.1.4/
directory and untar the archive (tar xzvf blacklists.tar.gz)
4. copy everything in the db directory (cp -a blacklists/* db/)
fix the permissions
5. chown -R root.root db/
6. chmod -R 0755 db/
verify

8. reconfigure squid and activate squidguard through the web interface to
apply the template and create the new /ets/squid/squidGuard.conf file
9. restart squid

Remark: the squidGuard package from the firewall distro has some problems with the
logs.
This package expects the logs to be at /usr/squidGuard/log/ despite the
logdir section in the config file. This has to be specified, obviously,
during the compilation process.
if you create this directory, make sure you hav ethe right premissions
(chown -R squid.squid /usr/squidGuard/log/)
I'll recompile it tomorrow (on the 11th) and made it available at
