Hi everybody.
Finally got around the release and I have now started to play around with it
a bit. So far I have had some problems but I have managed to work around
them, is there any current errata or bugtracking for SNF ?
Anyway here goes nothing:
I have the same problem with empty lists in the update so I thought that I
would just get the packages manually from one of the servers. But then I
encountered the blocking ftp problem. It was blocking both trough the
firewall and also when I was trying to ftp from the firewall itself. So I
switched ftp to passive mode and I got the directory listings from the
server.
That's when it hit me, mayby this is the problem with the update function,
maybe it is hanging while waiting for resonse since it is not using passive
mode ? Well that's just a thought....
By the way, can I configure SNF so that the ftp-clients don't have to use
passive mode or is this a bad thing ?
