For this particular problem you can use
rpm -Uvh
ftp://ftp.stealth.net/pub/mirrors/ftp.mandrake.com/Mandrake/updates/snf7.2/RPMS/xinetd-2.3.0-1.2mdk.i586.rpm
--nodeps
There must be something wrong with the package dependencies.
As for the empty list problem, you're not the only one to report it, so there
seems to be an ennoying bug in the final version :-(
