OK, i checked the mail setup but I didn`t find an error. It seems that
somebody (Win/Linux, Firewall??) uses port mapping and puts the ports 110/25
to another wich would be blocked from the firewall. The traffic from the
internal network to the web is allowed on all ports! If I view the logs in
/var/log/messages I see, that the outgoing traffic from NS mail is blocked
at port 37677. After a 3 times it get blocked the port changes to 37678 an
so on. After that I allowed this ports to get out and the problem exists no
longer. I allowed the ports from the web to the internal network, too, but
after the click on "View after new mails" I got the message "Could not
connect to server", like the first time. I /var/log/messages I see no
logging in which packages are blocked. Now I am totally confused! :-?

best regards,
Sch
