Thanks for the reply.

This gives me a couple more questions though. :)

Is the new version not going to be downloadable then? Is it only
available from this company Advantec?

Second, how do I get the updates for the ipvasdm problem? I must have
missed your posting about the fix somehow. Do I need to download the
ISO again. Does it have the fix? Or is it just a package or something?

Thanks,

Michael

Hi there,

We have a contract with a company called Advantec that will sell small
black boxes with the new firewall version on it. This boxes will have 3
network cards called wan, lan, dmz and different kinds of features. For
the first next version we have to be functional at the end of february
and
the final version is established to be on March, the 15th.

The DNS bug was corrected some time ago. It came from a ipvsadm problem
that didn't have the udp port-forwarding enabled. This is what you need
for a DNS server, port 53.

I have posted a fix about this some months ago and there were even
updated
packages, if my mermory is correct.

In the new version we don't use ipvsadm but this is managed directly by
the iptables.

have a nice day,
