I am being using - if you remember - SNF with great pleasure from a lot of
months; I installed also a couple of 8.2 SNF (seems to be named MNF) with
the same pleasure; today I bought a new PC and so I decided to install (on
the old PC) mdk9.0 + snf packages.
Of course, I have not got routers/CDNs/HDSLs... just a ISDN link: so I
tried theese features on SNF.
1) mdk9.0 and snf packages installed with the same problems of
dependencies I have experienced: webfetch package (that should be wget) is
missing, mandrake_doc_security is missing.
2) I bringed up eth0 manually (very old ISA NICK)
3) I fixed the script /usr/share/naat/scripts/isdn-card.pl
Added:
use lib(qw(/usr/lib/libDrakX/network);
use isdn;
And fixed
netconnection::isdn_get_list() with network::isdn::isdn_get_list()
4) At that point I was able to view my Teles and configure it.
5) I configured my ISP account (seems it's a bug here too) with shell help
because I was not properly able to do trhought SNF.
6) I wrote this email ;)
My questions, now:
The system runs. I just want to know if diald is working (because it seems
there are bugs here too). Infact I have a lot of errors in messages such
as
diald[2564]: start ippp0: SIOCSIFMETRIC: Operation not supported
or
www.tcp protocol unknown

Miguel
