I use ISDN link + diald for connections.
The problem is simple: diald keeps the provider link always up :(
When I boot the system it seems all ok.
If I type a 'route -n' I can see the slip (sl0) device as default route.
With 'ifconfig' I see eth0 (my lan 10.0.0.0/24) , lo (loopback), and sl0 (SLIP connection between 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.3).
If I try (from the LAN) to connect with some host I can see in /var/log/messagges some ShoreWall restrictions about DNS UDP Requests.
If I point to the MNF web administration and I open the "Internet Access" page, then ippp goes up and so the link with internet.
At that point if I type 'route -n' I cannot see SLIP (sl0) routes.
And if I look at 'ifconfig' output I can see that sl0 device has got no IPs.
Maybe this is correct... but at that point the link NEVER dead as I want.
Any suggestions ???
