I just hosed up my dhcpd by using Linuxconf and some of the other tools,
looking at the ppp and Xsetup issues. It wouldn't start again for
anything, even after rebooting. Then I ran the client manually with the
"-d -D -H" switches and now it's OK, even after a reboot. I'm not sure
which tool messed it up as I ran several, but you might try this.
