Phil,
Was there an entry in /etc/modules.conf for dmasound? I haven't run into
any other reports of this having failed to be setup. (It may not
necessarily work on all machines, but the module should be setup).
MOL was built against a BenH kernel on the machine in Paris. I've been
looking at building against the released kernels, in between other things,
but haven't had any success with it yet. It builds fine against
2.4.4-6.1, but all I get is a black or white screen - no MacOS. I still
need to reload the 2.2.19 kernel source and try it with it.
The hdparm info is good to know. I believe even on x86, we let the user
fine tune the disk parameters, rather than set them at something that
would risk data loss.
I agree on netatalk - I don't see anything in contribs in Paris - I'll
look into it.
I'll check out the Apache/mod_ssl stuff too, if I get a chance.
