Just an FYI - it appears that the problem about finding the RPM list is
directly related to the partitioning of the disk - I swapped my MacOS
stuff to the earlier partition so that the installer would have the end
of the disk to work with and miraculously (from the same CD) it was able
to find the RPM list.
Something that ya might wanna put on your 'to check in the future' list :)
