As far as I know BootX development has mostly stopped. Yaboot is the boot
method of choice for NewWorld machines, as it does not require you to run
MacOS before running Linux, whih can sometimes create problems on the
Linux side. Are you running 9.1 on an OldWorld machine?
I briefly played with quik when I first started with PPC, with little
success, but hopefully I know a bit more about Open Firmware now ;^).
There is also miboot.
