Alistair Riddell in the UK has had success Netbooting New World Macs from Linux. He originally announced it on Apple's AppleShare IP list (and probably other places, but that's where I found out about it). Here's the URL: http://www.gwc.org.uk/~ali/nb/ More info here: http://mike.passwall.com/macnc/ BTW, while everyone is in a daze and dreaming about Netbooting their small kitchen appliances, is there a guru on the list who can help a brother out with IMS/ixMicro video cards and X (have two freebies and would like a dual-head 9600: card IDs 0x9128 tt128m aka Twin Turbo 8MB PCI and 0x9135 AKA tt3d Ultimate 3D 8MB PCI ***?is this the right name for this card?***)? Any advice or information would be very kind -- I've had a hard time finding useful information. First card should run accelerated, I'm not sure too sure about the second card, I feel like I have enough info to try manually configuring everything, but thought I'd mention my situation here since dual heads came up earlier. Thanks in advance.
