Hi, I am not able to setup my 15" LCD monitor on my Cube system
("old" type, with Rage128Pro).
I can install everything using install-text, but I cannot set up the
video mode, and I get an error if I select the fbdev driver. OK, so I
choose not to start X when booting Linux.
HOWEVER, the problem is that **I cannot get to a text-only mode**
when rebooting the system! Linux seems to be booting OK, but all I
get is a black monitor with a quickly flashing power light.
Is there any way to boot to a text-only mode, much like the mode that
is used during "install-text" on the Install CD? If I only can get my
Linux system up in text mode, I can always try to proceed and try to
install fbdev drivers and so on...
