Hi,
For anyone who hasn't been able to install the PPC beta onto older Macs
with BootX, I've stumbled on a possible workaround. By using a newer version
of BootX and the BootX kernel from YDL 2.0, I've been able to successfully
install RC1 onto a 7200/75 and 7600/132.
Whoever wants to give it a shot, I've put together a small archive of the
files I used plus instructions:

Please let me know if it works for anyone else.
NOTE: This is not an official fix, just a possible workaround for those
willing to try it.
