Possibly, but not necessarily.  On some machines it's just the fact of
switching VT's to the test screen, it never makes it back to Xpmac.
Runlevel 5 is not set with a timeout on X, that it will fall back to
runlevel 3 after some period of time (30 secs?), this on both x86 and PPC.
