Last week I installed the PPC Beta on my PowerBook which also uses a Radeon. There seems to be a problem with the X server or the kernel that is used during the installation and the Radeon card. I was able to complete the installation with the funky display only because I've installed the PC version so many times (I've sort of memorized the steps). But once the installation is over, XFree 4.2 is fine so working on the desktop is no problem. Stew asked me to try some experiments last week, but I'm working on a deadline and haven't had any time to play around with 8.2 PPC. If you're willing to give it a try, you can read the thread in the archives: http://www.mandrake.com/en/archives/cooker-ppc/2002-02/msg00109.php Good luck. Phil
