I appreciate the feedback. We have limited access to hardware, so user
feedback is going to have to be the next best thing.

I believe the support for that card is still being worked out. The riva
support built into the kernel/X came out several months ago. I forwarded
an announcement to the list a couple of days ago on the new work ANi joshi
is doing with Nvidia, but I haven't seen source appear yet to work into
our apps. Here's a link to the scoop:

You were able to finish the install with "novideo" though? If you're
willing to experiment with the custom video settings and can find a better
choice for that card, I can set it up on the next ISO.

you'll probably want to boot to runlevel 3 until X is resolved - append
"3" to your kernel choice at the yaboot prompt and edit /etc/inittab:

Guess I've never seen a Mac partition table numbered like that. I'm not
real surprised the partitioner got confused. Did you end up losing
anything?

My bad - omitted package from ISO.

Expert or Recommended install? I was in that screen recently in expert
and it was there, I'll doublecheck it.

Guess I need to improve that ;^)

All normal. There are 3 bad modules. The USB load comes from the x86
side, whereas I build it into the kernel as it really stinks to boot up
with no keyboard at all ;^). Maybe I should give in and make it a module.
I don't know why pcmcia is getting setup on every machine now, need to
research it. It's possible it's getting picked up because I load some
pcmcia stuff during install for the airport.

That's outside of my charter, I just try to make the installer work on
PPC. If you have general installer interface issues, you might send them
to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Yes, I added some PPC clarification to the installer help, and it was
kindly all stripped out and friendly warning left that I wasn't to touch
that. =(

Thanks for the feedback. If you want to try and get X going, I'd like to
work with you on that.
