Is there any chance Sonnet processor upgrades cards
can be supported in Mandrake PPC?

What happens when you boot the kernel with the card in - freeze?
To get kernel support for it, if there isn't already, one would ne specs from the manufacturer, or reverse engineer the workings of the card.

I can boot the kernel with the card in, but if the Sonnet extension
is activated (required to activate the G3 card) before the kernel boot
then I typically get this message after 'partition check':

hda:  lost interrupt
hda:  lost interrupt
hda:  lost interrupt
hda:  lost interrupt
hda:  lost interrupt

I use bootX to launch Linux, and I start the Sonnet extension _before_
the bootX extension.  A few people have said their system works
using this method, but they appear to be using older Kernels.

Sonnet mentioned that they could make the source code for their
extension available, but it would require signing a NDA, which no
one in the PPC Linux community has been willing to do, yet.
