Since nobody of the more experienced people seems to have heard your question, I'll answer what I can: The Powermac 7600 is Old-World, which basically means it has a big ROM chip containing half of MacOS, and some older version of the boot code that doesn't support booting non-MacOS directly. You have to boot into Linux from MacOS using BootX, which you can find in "Mandrake_Linux_8.2_Install.sit" in the "BootX" folder on the CD.
