Do you have time to hit enter? >Just to verify - MD5SUM ok on ISO? How did you burn it? > i don't know how to check the MD5SUM of the cd on a mac or on windows so i will have to wait till i'm home on my linux box to do that. i burned the cd using nero burning rom which i use for burning all my isos and i never seem to have a problem...
now on to the boot... correction.. i get to where the screen says: "Booting Mandrake Linux PPC..." NOT "Welcome to Mandrake Linux PPC!" that message is displayed for a few seconds then the screen displayes the black and white lines for another few seconds before booting into os 9. i was thinking that maybe since i hold down the "c" key for so long(i let go when i see the welcome messsage) it might think i want choice c? would anything happen if i press c at the menu? is there a way for me boot into the novideo mode automaticaly. maybe if i change a parameter somewhere and reburn the cd? i would appreciate any help that i could get. i am here at work and someone else who has the same exact computer, is having the same problem. thanks mike _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
