the way i do it is:
wget -rm 
ftp://ftp.rpmfind.net/linux/mandrake/cooker/cooker/ppc/Mandrake/RPMS/

then in software update i goto define sources then delete cd1 and cd2 and 
add a new local(not cooker) source pointing to where you downloaded the rpms
